Plus all the gloating we do is great b/c if it was them they would never let us forget it :). He figures that if he's going to Nana and Papaw's house, she had better be there too. Monday, January 26, 2009. On Saturday, January 17, 2009. We held Logan's birthday party at Snapperz. I have posted on this place previously. It is a huge building with themed inflatables, 4-story climbing area, trampoline, toddler area, etc. The place is great for not only children but adults too. When we realized we would have about 50 people in attendance we realized we needed somewhere big to accomdate them so this was the place! I can't rave enough on this place and how awesome the staff were! Heathe...

Thursday, July 2, 2009. Well, about two weeks ago we found out that I was pregnant! This is very exciting news for us since we had decided to try again. The first time I had gotten pregnant I had lost it due to an ectopic pregnancy. This all happened while waiting on Logan. 2 days after my surgery, we got the call to go meet him for the first time in a couple of weeks. The DeVries Dome: Mia moves in!!!

We are Adam and Kristi DeVries. We are currently building our own monolithic dome home. The structure of the dome is made out of an airform, isonene foam, rebar,and shotcrete. The inside of the dome will be like any other house! Hope you enjoy our story! This picture was taken in April of 2009, shortly after we put some of the windows in. The house in the backround is the house we have been living in while we have been working on the dome. Friday, July 15, 2011. Our lives were changed forever!

Wednesday, December 30, 2009. A couple of weeks ago, we began going to Easterseals Crossroads to see Holly for physical therapy. We are very grateful that she is willing to continue to provide PT for Austin since his graduation from First Steps. We have therapy in the pediatric gym which is a room full of sensory FUN! Austin practiced climbing steps, walking around obstacles, and jumping on his first trampoline. I'm really not sure who had more fun. Holly loved being reunited with the kids!

We made as many trips to the lake this summer as we could because I'm afraid there won't be many more years of Lake Wawasee in the future. The yearly expenses of the cottage are grand, and I know they won't be met for much longer. My fondest memories from childhood center around Lake Wawasee and the summers spent there with my family! I deeply want those memories for my girls and family too!
