Thursday, June 30, 2011. Saturday Night at the Park. Lindsay came into town to help watch the boys during girls camp. The weather was so nice we decided to take a picnic to the park and enjoy the summer evening together. We had fun taking some cute pics of the kids. Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Dallin likes to look up instructions on YouTube and then follow along, the harder the better. This project was a doozy:. First he had to cut and fold over 400 paper triangles. Just this took two days. So, so cute....

Sunday, May 8, 2011. I knew I wanted to do something special for Kenzie's big birthday and some friends suggested I combine with her good friend Lexie, since both girls were turning 16 about a month apart. Turned out to be the best suggestion ever, 'cause I never could have pulled it all off by myself. The color scheme was black, white and turquoise. It was fun decorating the table all girly. We had a fancy dinner complete with menus and these two cute waiters. Thanks for everything, Jen! Four kids call ...

Thursday, December 29, 2011. We had a great Christmas this year! On the 22nd, Grant and I got to go down to Salt Lake for one of my best friend's from growing up, Sarah's wedding. It was really beautiful but quite cold and windy outside! We had an awesome view of the temple from the dinner at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Fun little story for ya:. Anyways, luckily I only had a few minutes to panic until some random girl walks up to me holding Grant saying,"is anyone looking for this kid? Uh yes, me!

My little brother Matt included this gem in his letter home this week:. So I heard there was a crazy earthquake in Japan. That is pretty crazy. January 11. We were talking to Nelson [his investigator] and he was telling us how he analyzes everything to an extreme. I was like well what do you mean? He then proceeded to say this mind blowing coincidence (? The attach on the Twin Towers was on September 11. The earthquake in Haiti was on January 11 and 12. The Japan earthquake/tsunami occurred on March 11.

We saw lobsters and fish in weird mucus cocoons. The coral and walls looked distorted, longer, and sinister in the dark- like in some disney movie when the forest turns evil and the tree limbs grab at the heroine. Well, I swear that coral arms and seaweed were writhing behind my back. It was really quite marvelous. The "stars" were phosphorescent plankton that light up with movement.
