Friday, December 20, 2013. On the 6th we walked outside and found a Christmas tree growing in our yard. Beastly blackberry vines had forced it to grow horizontally for about 10 feet before curving upright, so it’s not the most magnificent specimen (but we probably wouldn’t have cut it down otherwise). We had prepared for a lot of Gryphon’s classmates to show up at the birthday party, but only two were able to make it (which still represents 100% growth over last year’s turnout). Monday, March 24, 2014. Cheri helped the kids paint and glue sparkles onto Thunder Browns, whom Alice now calls “Lullaby”. Tuesday, February 17, 2015. On October 23rd we were playing at the school and some kids said there was a partial solar eclipse going on. We checked it out and sure enough, there was. Then we went home and carved pumpkins. Some Fridays after Zumba Alice and I have a lunch date at Blackbird café. The spinach artichoke sandwich is hit. Gryphon found his friend Robby at the Halloween party at school on the 24th. On the 25th the kids and I made another Star Wars video. Later they did yoga with Cheri.

Tuesday, June 2, 2015. I realized these things happened 180 million miles away. The Brave Christmas Train. I headed back to New York for a couple of TV appearances. Then it was off to California to hang out with my Aunt's caterpillars and cats. I fit in some museum trips and a visit to Grandpa and Ele's. When I got home it was almost Christmas. Isaac's parents came to visit for a week. They stayed with us Friday noon through Sunday morning. A Little More in October. October was a full month; here are a few more things I want to add before it's over! Isaac and the boys went to watch a Monday night football game at Denny's house, so Natalie and I had a double date with Emery and Michelle! We had Natalie's choice of Chipotle for dinner. We are so excited about the things that will be happening in early 2017! We are going to be spending a lot of time in Iceland and introducing our children to the country. We are amazed by the doors that are opening and grateful for the hospitality that we are being offered. Our entire family will be going to Iceland!
