NCS Art - Kindergarten. 2012-2013 Elem. Art Blog. Sunday, December 4, 2016. This past week we created 'Pinch Pots' using air dry clay. We learned several clay techniques: the pinching method, tool use and adding clay with slip. We first made a pinch pot using the pinching method. This involves using your thumb and two index finders and pinching the pot slowing to form the bow. Students also added small ball shapes to either the rim or outside of the pot. Awesome Inc. theme.
