Tessa's birthday party was split between bowling one night with Miranda and Carolyn S and G&G Smith coming for a kabob dinner. Meat, meat, and more meat. Tessa's favorite! Up close and personal with the birthday girl and the presents. A big step for Kaylee - a presentation in front of the class. It was FINALLY her week to be Student Explorer and she was so excited. She's come SO far in just 4 months!

Burgess family joined us! To make clean up easier we moved the table to the living room. Joe made the place cards. Troy bought me flowers! The cooks included: Elaine. Cream of Mushroom Chestnut Soup. Spinach Sweet Potato Salad with a warm bacon vinaigrette. Sausage Apple Cranberry Stuffing (love my crock pot).

Friday, July 25, 2008. Father's Day with the Reed clan. Interesting conversation about hotrods. Sarah, Olive and Clara. And continuing the remodel. Framing perimeter walls and windows. Patching the hole in the kitchen where the chimney used to be. And of course, making new holes where we can. We finally got a furnace just in time for summer! It sure was a cold winter, but at least we will be warm this summer! We also had a new central vaccuum system installed. you can see that in this picture also.

Of Sun and Rain. Sunday, November 29, 2009. Hiking the Snow Creek Trail in late November. Friend Darren proposed a shoeshoe trek into the mountains over Thanksgiving.no skin off his teeth I found out later, he's Canadian born! Low and behold the rain stopped about three miles before we arrived at the trailhead. Spirits high, we started up the trail in boots and 2 miles later the snowshoes came on.
