Newfoundland Sea Kayaking: November 2014

http://newfoundlandseakayaking.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Some things were made for one thing, for me, that one thing is the Sea" Hey Ocean! Monday, November 3, 2014. Visit to the SW Coast. I love it when I can get over to the SW Coast of the island where I grew up. I especially love it when my boat makes it over there with me. In early September we went over to Burnt Islands to visit my family, and we took full advantage of having grandparents to pawn the kids off on for a few hours, haha (not that they minded of course). Some things were made for one thing, for me, that one thing is the Sea" Hey Ocean! Wednesday, April 3, 2013. The Arthritis Chronicles Vol. 2. I spent most of last week at St Claires Hospital, in the rheumatology department getting my knee looked into. I met with a rheumatologist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, pharmacist, etc. Turns out I do indeed have psoriatic arthritis. Bummer.but glad to finally have a diagnosis and a plan deal with it. Thats a lot of knee juice! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Newfoundland Sea Kayaking: September 2013

http://newfoundlandseakayaking.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html

Some things were made for one thing, for me, that one thing is the Sea" Hey Ocean! Tuesday, September 24, 2013. I'm going to be starting new medication in a few weeks. I'm really hoping I see some positive results. Nothing has worked thus far. Fingers crossed I guess. One thing I enjoy as much as kayaking is traveling. Angie and I usually take a trip or two (or three) each year. The thought of staying around my house while on vacation gives me shudders! Church On Spilled Blood, St. Petersburg, Russia.

Some things were made for one thing, for me, that one thing is the Sea" Hey Ocean! Thursday, March 26, 2015. Isla Espiritu Santos, Mexico. Earlier this month myself and 2 friends, Trent Hardy and Rob Scott, spent 6 days kayaking around Isla Espiritu Santos in Mexico. It was fantastic! I contacted www.kayakbaja.com. To begin, we flew from St John's - Toronto - Mexico City. We decided to do an overnight in Mexico City to go and see the ruins of. Villas Arqueologicas Teotihuacan, which is right next to the ...

Some things were made for one thing, for me, that one thing is the Sea" Hey Ocean! Saturday, July 25, 2015. Short Trip to Ireland. We are in the midst of the worst summer in recent memory. As of now its been the coldest July in over 20 years. Its been foggy, rainy and windy for weeks and weeks. Not very good for paddling, so I haven't been out at all. Angie at Dublin Castle. A must visit, the Guinness Brewery. The Dark Hedges. A scene from Game of Thrones was filmed here. And of course, AC/DC! DFO's Harb...

Tony's theory of everything. I've moved, new kayak posts at: www.mynewfoundlandkayakexperience.blogspot.com. Saturday, June 6, 2009. Kayakers to the rescue. Looks like the fisher- man is helping us but looks are deceiving in this case. Stan and myself were amazed that these guys weren't wearing PFDs and didn't have anyway to communicate with land if they had to. Not even a spare set of oars. We were in much smaller boats but much better prepared. Stan in happy salute to being on the water. Sea stack at S...

My Newfoundland Kayak Experience. Happiness is an inside job." - William Arthur Ward. Sunday, May 31, 2015. The crown jewel of the Southern Shore - Part I. We left the city which was bathed in sunshine to drive to Cape Broyle for a Saturday paddle. As we drove down the Southern Shore highway the fog settled in. It was foggy too at Cape Broyle. Undaunted, we assumed the sun would eventually burn through the fog and we'd be in sunshine too. Dean paddles under an overhang in crystal clear waters. I've been ...

My Newfoundland Kayak Experience: September 2014

http://mynewfoundlandkayakexperience.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

My Newfoundland Kayak Experience. Happiness is an inside job." - William Arthur Ward. Friday, September 26, 2014. Last evening five of us met to play in the wind and waves at St. Philips. Pictures hardly do justice to the conditions so I decided to record some video. Previous video I shot was with the camera fixed to the foredeck but I found water drops stayed on the lens and the perspective was rather shallow. Saturday, September 20, 2014. Some rides down the larger meter and a half waves were exhilarat...

Some things were made for one thing, for me, that one thing is the Sea" Hey Ocean! Thursday, September 14, 2017. Belize Trip - Last Day on the Cayes. These small resorts looked very inviting. Some had nice sandy beaches, with SUP and kayaks. The males have large red pouch that inflates like a balloon during mating season. They make these crazy noises too.
