Brooxie's Blog: Tech Ed
http://brookesregenhardt.blogspot.com/2010/08/tech-ed.html
Thursday, August 5, 2010. Technology and the progression of it is inevitable. Since computers are the way of the future for our students, the inability to use them will be catastrophic to their future. As teachers, I believe that our job is to best prepare our students for the world that awaits them. To do this, we must incorporate technology into our curriculum. A student without the essential tech know-how will be at a serious disadvantage that could lead to a lifetime of setbacks. Long Time, No (Hear).

The World As I See It: Can you hear me now? How about now?
http://leejaylee.blogspot.com/2010/08/can-you-hear-me-now-how-about-now.html
The World As I See It. Sunday, August 1, 2010. Can you hear me now? The answer to these questions, unfortunately, is yes the entire class can hear you. I am fully aware that my position on this topic will make me sound sixty years old and crotchety however I am who I am. I am a vehement no vote on the issue to utilizing cell phones in the classroom. I understand the potential for good but why tempt someone? August 3, 2010 at 9:51 PM. I am with you on the no vote! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The World As I See It: August 2010
http://leejaylee.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
The World As I See It. Friday, August 6, 2010. Unfortunately, an often overlooked problem with the new wave of technology in classrooms is that there are still many children that have no or little access to computers outside of school. There is no question that incorporating technology into a classroom where all the students have outside access is a great way to prepare them for the technological future. However what happens if some of the students do not have outside computer access? Can you hear me now?

Monday, July 19, 2010. In google-ing myself I found a ton but very little about me. I searched Kim and Kimberly and I found that there is an actress, real estate agent, convicted embezzler, dentist, chemist and photagrapher with my exact same name. My myspace page came up, as well as my goodreads profile (neither of which I have used in over a year) and 2 articles I wrote for my college newpaper. Http:/ barometer.orst.edu/home/index.cfm? MK Freeston: August 2010

Thursday, August 5, 2010. Calling the Justice League of America? Or maybe Super Friends? I assume that student's socio-economic status influences their access to technology in their lives. My assumption is challenged in the 2008 article "Who are Today's Learners? Yes Are there ways I can level the playing field and promote social justice for my students? No Does that mean technology should be excluded from my classroom? So, what is left for me to do? The power I have as a teacher resides in recognizing t...
