In this blog, I’ll introduce some of the research that’s been conducted on self-efficacy in teaching, and then I’ll briefly discuss some resources and approaches that are available to help us improve our effectiveness as teachers. And, of course, I’d love to hear your thoughts and comments. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Ultimate Vines and Wines. Melissa is so Rad. Fresh Eyes on Teaching. The Story of Dr. Doeslittle.

Technology in Teaching
http://teach-with-tech.blogspot.com/2007/05/i-always-remember-famous-last-words-of.html
Thursday, May 3, 2007. I always remember the famous last words of one of my favorite teachers when I use technology in the classroom- "Technology is great when it works". Do you think that it is appropriate or good to use more text in a powerpoint presentation on a scientific topic than on a humanities topic? May 30, 2007 at 4:13 PM. Technology in Teaching: March 2007
http://teach-with-tech.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 26, 2007. Using technology in teaching. I'm interested in ways to use technology successfully and thoughtfully in teaching. New and exciting technologies are appearing seemingly on a daily basis. I am looking for ways people have found the use of technology in their classrooms, or outside their classrooms, to be effective in teaching. If you have specific examples, horror stories, things that worked great, or things that you think have great potential, please share! Http:/ ultimatevineswine...

Bloggedy Blog Blog: Self-efficacy and Teaching
http://ellie-ellie-bo-bellie.blogspot.com/2007/05/self-efficacy-and-teaching.html
Sunday, May 13, 2007. Self-efficacy refers to a person’s belief in their own capability to effectively perform a specific task. Research in many areas of human behavior has demonstrated that self-efficacy beliefs powerfully affect our behavior, learning, performance and motivation. Sunday, May 13, 2007. Modifying our Self-Efficacy- How to get better! How do we change our self-efficacy? What tools are available (on campus, on the internet) to help us? Research has provided a theoretical framework for how self-efficacy evaluations can change, as well as a few suggestions for how to translate these ideas into concrete, real-world training ideas for new and continuing teachers. Let’s explore. The following framework is modified from Tschannen-Moran et al., 1998). 8226; Attend professio...
