Notes From Heather: February 2014
http://notesfromheather.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
February 15, 2014. Valentine's Day- The Good, the Bad, the Ugly. I think most women have a love/hate relationship with Valentine's Day. At least I do, so I generalize my feelings to most woman :). My worst Valentine's Day was in my early twenties. I had dressed up and prepared a nice dinner for my boyfriend. I had a special gift for him.don't really remember what it was but was probably football related. A great idea from Pinterest. Open When" cards. Check out. Though some cute baby roses in a fun animal...

April 30, 2014. 34 Year Olds Can Have Temper Tantrums Too! At Least I Have Rock of Ages and Wine. The last couple of weeks have been full of ups and downs. Last week I had a full-on, three-year-old-style temper tantrum. I couldn't find my keys. Now typically I put them in the same place.always.to avoid self-induced trauma. But I obviously hadn't done that. So, instead, I looked in my purse. Now I was pretty sure I could hear them in my purse- jangling to mock me- -but couldn't find them. Stuff a Saturday...

October 18, 2012. Nursery's Ready.Come on Baby! The final touches have been completed on Baby Gannon's Nursery.just in time for his due date, which is today. Too bad he's not yet here to enjoy, but it gives me time to post the pictures! So I know you've seen the paint job. And the changing table makeover. But there were two other major projects that we worked on: the mobile and the airplane picture. When you see them only one will actually look major, but I assure you the other one took forever too!

September 29, 2012. My Manly-Man and His Candied Walnuts and Diaper Covers. For those of you who know my husband, he tends toward the manly-man side. He loves guns. Hates musicals. Loves getting dirty. Hates the Kardashians. Loves wrestling with the dogs. Hates shopping for clothes. Annnnnyway. Beyond these chores that I had added to his list, he also surprised me (and himself) with a couple of extra domestically cute actions. I came home from work last week to find him making candied walnuts. I promised...

Spice Up Your Inbox. Subscribe Today. Enter your email address:. Is good for you. How long can you live without food and water in the dressing room of an athletic apparel store? Last week, I found myself inside a Lululemon store changing room, completely trapped in an athletic top. I thought to myself, this is what it must have felt like to be baby Jessica. The 18-month-old that was trapped in a well for 58 hours. Oh and I had forgotten to put on deodorant. Baby Jessica probably forgot too. Full panic se...

Friday, February 09, 2018. My, My, Look At The Time! A whole year has passed and the time was chocked full of cat care, Youtube videos, ballet classes, and major home renovation here. Exactly a year ago, by several acts of God, Paul and I were able to buy the house we had been renting for five years (saving us from another move, thankfully). And the journey/transformation from lifelong renter to homeowner has been profound. We added a floor of storage to the top of the building when a secret attic was di...

Notes from Hard Times
Notes from Hard Times. Notes, not intended to appease or offend you. but in case, if it does.then there might be definitely something appeasing or offensive about you. Wednesday, 1 April 2009. Recession of Fourth (Real) Estate. About Dubai. The latest trend is now Dubai-bashing. And they spend their Times on it. But how does it do it? Or, in another word, how should the media focus and handle these issues? Not definitely the way, Times do. And New York Times. And authors like Christopher Davidson. The sh...

Notes from Heidi | A homemaker's place to muse and enthuse.
A homemaker's place to muse and enthuse. Tricks up my sleeve: cleaning out the house. Today I decide to ignore the irony of writing about cleaning out when I couldn’t feel. Now, I plan to post as we work our way through various cleaning out and organizing projects, but without further ado, here are just a couple of general tricks up my sleeve for saving money, clearing out clutter, and living a little bit simpler. Sell stuff on eBay, except for books. Haul around a trash bag, too. Big one for me)? With-a...

Of Music I Care For (& Of That I Don't)
Of Music I Care For (& Of That I Don't). Tuesday, March 20, 2007. I had only seen a poster of them. At the Alliance Francaise Delhi a few days back and made a mental note to try and see the concert there (at AFD) on 20th March. I had no idea about their music but just the thought of minimalist arrangement- the poster showed Carmen, who I figured would be doing vocals, and David holding a semi-acoustic guitar- made me want to hear them. The poster reminded me of Tuck and Patti. Which are really masterpiec...
