Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Summer Living Room in the basement. Finally it is finished! Then we hung the mirrors and the picture and spent the rest of the evening admiring our handiwork. On Wednesday we took a day off and went to the beach. We had beautiful weather, around 28°C (80-85°F). Then we went to Orsogna to buy supply of wine for return trip. After all, we had an empty van for return! Thursday we worked all day in the garden and cleaned, ready to close the house till next spring! View to the door.

Monday, August 22, 2011. This year's vacation was mid-July to 1st week of August. We spent a week with our friends, Regina and Bram Bonhof and their children Bart and Anne Sophie. We had a lot of laughs. The work paid off, now we can relax in the garden. Our new bougainvillea: Rudi had to paint the fence first. Bounty from the river and sea for our rock garden. Koda at sea. Throw the ball! Excavation of monastery in the Gole (gorge): about 15 minutes' walk from our house. Then 300 more steps.

Sunday, March 15, 2009. March 2009 Work Done! Between 3 and 12 March we returned to settle accounts with the workers and check out the work done. Our beautiful view, where you can just see the snow-capped mountains! The new lamps and ceiling. We even used the fireplace! It was nice and cozy. The faucet that allows you to open the window: see how it bends? The living room all painted and ready to relax! This is the lamp we bought in Guardiaregele - the town famous for their wrought-iron craftsmanship:.

Tuesday, July 13, 2010. We took a long weekend in July and flew with Ryanair from Thursday to Tuesday. Great connection for us! The mission set for ourselves: buy a Bar-B-Q for the summer. Our Oleander in full bloom! Me 'n my Olea. Ready for the Summer! Guestroom floor: note the stencilwork. View from master bedroom to guestroom. View from the balcony. Tuesday, September 22, 2009. My does time fly! So much has happened in the past few weeks! In July we moved to our new house. It is still pretty empty and the walls are bare but we really love it! Jenna is the only one with something on her walls! A week later Jenna and James came to Arizona. Jenna had a wonderful time in Holland visiting her family and friends. Lucky for me I had school to keep me occupied for the 5 weeks she was gone, for her it flew by but for me it was forever! I was so proud of him!

Monday, November 30, 2009. Tuesday Jenna finally got the okay for them to take off her braces! After two years for the bottom braces and 1 1/2 year for the top braces.
