Scott and Tobi Sanders. Thursday, June 10, 2010. Walking along the paths by the bat caves. I just loved the look of the Mangrove groves. Lots of monkeys were around. Into the bat caves. We couldn't use a flash inside so couldn't take pictures but there were some spectacular rock formations and lots and lots of bats. These eagles would dip into the waterway and get fish to eat. More eagles just flying around. They would rest in the tops of the trees before flying out some more. Posted by Scott and Tobi.

Saturday, 3 August 2013. Despite the early hour of rising this am (530), the excitement of going home got everyone moving. We ate breakfast at the hotel- the Pomeroy Inn and Suites had a great breakfast spread. We were on the road by 645! The road was pretty empty, although we noticed there were a lot of big rigs going south! But it seemed it was just the women's that didn't work so Hannah and Kerri used the men's. We grabbed some sandwiches to go and were on our way. Thanks for following our adventure!

We stayed in a shack near Clarksdale, canoed down the Mississippi River, visited at Lake Chicot, visited the site of a 1600s trading post (now home to armadillos), stayed at DeGray Lake, took mineral baths in Hot Springs, went tubing on the Caddo River, and stopped by the Arkansas state capitol in Little Rock.
