Grays in the Shade. Northerners head south…. As I mentioned in a previous post, after our sister and brother-in-law left we had another set of fun visitors in for a week from Iowa. Lucky for us they had been reading about the Mayan ruins at Lamanai. We caught the first water taxi at 7 AM and traveled about an hour by car from Belize City to the New River. Lamanai means “submerged crocodile”. It was a Mayan City that was continuously occupied for over 3000 years. As I posted here. New River in the Rain.

Once again someone is visiting the island so we have been inspired to actually leave the caye and go on some adventures around Belize. Thursday, September 29, 2011. T minus 30 days and counting. We should be sailing down river in 30 days. I am not sure how everything is going to be done when we head south.
