I understand that there are too many C-sections in this world today (1 in 3 women); however, I am sick of reading articles that make me feel bad about myself for having a C-section and not choosing a VBAC for my second (or third) child. Maybe I'm just a bit defensive about it (I NEVER planned on having a C-section), but I would do it again.

Outnumbered Four to One. Outnumbered Four to One. Life with FOUR boys begins in January! Three sons and one husband! Tuesday, April 2, 2013. This year we actually went away for Larry's Spring Break. While it was definitely a vacation, it was a pretty inexpensive one as we stayed two nights by Larry's parents and three nights by my sister. The boys got to see almost all of their aunts, uncles, and cousins (We missed the de Jongs in Idaho, though! Great Oma and the boys. Easter Sunday in matching outfits.

Upon the recommendation of a few friends here in CA, we chose to send him to a semi-private swim school. It has been wonderful! He’s had twelve lessons and I think he’s made a lot of progress. A recent Sunday afternoon trip to Seaport Village was filled with tons of sights, sounds and sweet memories. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon in America’s finest city! 1 Vintage car parade (some even showed off their hydraulics! 2 Sailboats, yachts, barges and ferries coming in and out of the harbor. 3 Planes and helicopters heard flying overhead. 4 Kites soaring in the blue sky above.

Friday, June 21, 2013. Jacob absolutely LOVED being at preschool! Every morning he happily ran to the rug with Eric and each afternoon the teachers told me how great he did. They couldn't get over how happy he was and excited about everything. I had a feeling he'd like it! Sophia went too and even though it took her a few days to get used to it, today she didn't cry at all and had a blast with Water Day :). The first day was Reptile/Creepy Crawly Day. My wonderful friends Laura and Nicole came up this afternoon to visit and meet our girl. We had lots of fun catching up and chit-chatting. And the amazing Nicole brought along her camera and took some pictures. I absolutely love them all! Zonked out on Nicole. She was comfy on Laura for quite a long time. Man, this girl!

A new start for our new family. Friday, December 3, 2010. I was thinking the other day how it is so funny that when you are little and you are asked how old you are you will always try and be a little older. You might say I'm four AND A HALF! Then as you get older you'd rather not say the half or even get older at all. Well we are celebrating that Cohen is A HALF! We had his six month checkup yesterday and the doctor said he is an all star.he's great! Weight: 16 lbs. 8.5 oz. (31%). Posted by Brad Jansen.
