Weekly Gratitude: grounding distractions. As my “nesting” has been disrupted from our bathroom renovation, this week I’ve finally found some distractions to help keep my nerves at ease. Sunday, December 21, 2014. We have had a very busy weekend for visitors. Last night I got an urge to practise my domestic goddess skills and looked up a simple shortbread recipe. This morning I baked. Delia Smith's shortbread with my touch - dried cranberries and chocolate chips. The biscuits were tricky little beasts to cut as the cranberries made the edges crumble. We found the quaintest little shop, with boxes reminiscent of the time of Marie Antoinette. The chocolate is still made in an artisanal way. You will find them right in front of Manneken Pis.
