It was the perfect excuse to wear this dress I bought that I always want to wear but it never really seems appropriate for the occasion (umm maybe because it's long and flowy and white.). Tuesday, September 17, 2013. Last weekend, we went on our first staycation at Terranea. In Palos Verdes for our 3rd anniversary. I was totally blown away by the resort - it feels like Hawaii, but it's only a 30 min drive from our apartment! Terranea is a big hotel, but it feels intimate somehow, like you're staying in a really nice house. A villa. Perhaps. There are a bunch of restaurants to choose from, all with different vibes (we had a brunch at Nelson's. Happy hour at Bashi. View from our balcony}.

July 23, 2013. Painting the baby room. As I mentioned in my last post. We painted the baby room. We chose to do it over the long Independence Day weekend because we knew that the prep and the painting would take a couple of days. But first, we had to choose a paint color.
