By kp1203 Katherine Parkes. Don’t just listen- Self-direct! As a result of the identification of the success of self-directed learning, I feel students should be allowed more freedom to manage their own learning, particularly at university level. Just one example of a way of doing this was identified within my blog on Video Talks. A process involved in self-directed learning is self-regulation. Which involves the learner managing each stage of the learning process from planning and performing a task to e...

https://kp1203.wordpress.com/2013/10/25/why-am-i-talking
By kp1203 Katherine Parkes. Why am I talking? I have chosen to focus my topic on examining the different teaching methods used at Bangor University. My initial blog will explore one of the methods used within this module; the talks. In this module we are expected to make fortnightly talks, all of which are recorded so we can transform them into videos and upload them onto sights such as YouTube and post the link back into our blog. At first I thought, why do we do this? Although an additional bonus of vi...

That is why I think this module is brilliant. We have shown in our works that we have understood everything we need and we have the works to look back on for when we need to. They are written in a way that we understand and we do not need to memorise all of them. Second, this module allows us to choose whatever topics in education of science to learn. We can get rid of some boring topics and focus on what interested us within the area. This is brilliant! 4 thoughts on “ Last. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
