When he married Carolyn’s mother Hazel Arthur. Carolyn was born in. Her family later moved to. She and her brother, Richard, attended the Chico State College; there she received a BS and MS in history and political science. She had not been interested in astronomy and science. They were married on August 18, 1951. They eventually settled in.

The moon was in its crescent phase, and about 30 degrees to the east of the horizon. Venus was visible 4 degrees NW from the horizon. It is defined by it's red emission nebula and it's colorful nebula. It is located in Ophiuchus, Scorpius, and Sagittarius. It also contains the blue horse head nebula and the star Antares.
