Friday, May 14, 2010. Http:/ apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap100511.html. The Cassini satellite currently orbiting Saturn took a pictures of one of Saturn's moon Mimas. These amazingly detailed pictures are falsely covered and show a large part of this small moon. A extremely large crater can be seen on the surface. The Herschel crater is estimated to be about 130 kilometers wide. If anything larger than what made the crater hit Minas it would have destroyed it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Both galaxies are viewed here through the stars in our Milky Way, as well as some highly-reflective dust clouds high above the galactic plane, which have been dubbed "integrated flux nebulae".
