Centered in Creation: September 2010

Wednesday, September 29, 2010. Henry Ward Beecher said,. 8220;Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures.”. Reading, reading, reading . . . followed by writing, writing, writing. A seemingly endless project due by the end of October is only relieved by bountiful moments of quilting or knitting. Today I began reading, my toes curling before the fire. The chill of the room was muting and my coffee was deliciously . . . warm! How soul fulfilling the play is!

Centered in Creation: Instant Gratification

http://centeredincreation.blogspot.com/2010/10/instant-gratification.html

Saturday, October 9, 2010. Mark Strand wrote . . . And, I did do some of that! The results were good – not quite f...

Saturday, October 16, 2010. Greg Waitz said,. 8220;For every finish-line tape a runner breaks – complete with the cheers of the crowd and the clicking of hundreds of cameras – there are the hours of hard and often lonely work that rarely gets talked about.”. Uilting is filled with transparent rulers, measuring tape, grids, and quilting squares in every shape and size. Quilting in the Birds. Monday, September 22, 2014. I just started working on another baby quilt but this one is very special - it is for our first great grandchild who will be born in January. Life is good!

Tuesday, January 3, 2017. I took almost two weeks off for Christmas. I honestly can't remember the last time I was off that long, and it was blissful. Crazy busy, but blissful! I did throw away about five garbage bags full of stuff. Projects that I don't have any interest in completing, mystery synthetic fabric that will never find a use, that sort of thing. I also boxed up four or five boxes of stuff to send to IG friends. It felt good to purge! I broke out a layer cake and jelly roll to get another lea...
