Backporch Friends: August 2013
http://backporchfriends.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 11, 2013. I needed a new lamp so I found this one at Home Goods, but the shade was a weird green, so I got the idea of covering it with coffee filters. Not sure how much I really like it. It's a much bigger lamp than what was there before. Maybe it'll grow on me. I guess if it doesn't -I can always get a new shade! Links to this post. Backporch Friends: August 2014
http://backporchfriends.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 28, 2014. A BEFORE AND AFTER PROJECT. Sometimes I just live with things I have come to hate. Like our entry hallway off our garage. This is the door we use to get into the house 99% of the time, and it was way overdue for a paint job. The walls were stenciled (can we say 90's? And badly scuffed from years of neglect. Anyway, I had finally had enough. BEFORE-you can't see them but those stenciled patterns are under that white paint. This shovel should give me the leverage I need-right?

Backporch Friends: November 2012
http://backporchfriends.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 8, 2012. I wanted to make a quilt for my granddaughter Samantha. She helped to pick out these cute colors. I think it really reflects her personality! This will be for the main bunk. The flowers are 3-D. The small runner looking thing is for the 2nd bunk. I bought an expensive duvet from IKEA and this little bed runner will look cute at the bottom of the bed. There are 2 throw pillows -only one in the pic; and my favorite thing of all time to make-pillowcases! Links to this post. Creat...

Backporch Friends: January 2013
http://backporchfriends.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 12, 2013. Every once in a while we get dumped on. This was the worst snow storm in years. We measured the snow on our deck and it was at 24"! That may not seem like much if you don't live in a snowy area, but believe me it was a lot. Especially when you consider it came down all in one storm. THIS IS WHAT THE DECK LOOKS LIKE AFTER A NORMAL SNOWSTORM. BUT THIS IS AFTER A 2-FOOTER. CRAZY GRANDCHILDREN MADE A TUNNEL UNDER THE DECK. HARD TO WALK IN THIS STUFF. Links to this post.
