Life is good!

Tuesday, January 3, 2017. I took almost two weeks off for Christmas. I honestly can't remember the last time I was off that long, and it was blissful. Crazy busy, but blissful! I did throw away about five garbage bags full of stuff. Projects that I don't have any interest in completing, mystery synthetic fabric that will never find a use, that sort of thing. I also boxed up four or five boxes of stuff to send to IG friends. It felt good to purge! I broke out a layer cake and jelly roll to get another lea...

Life is good!: WIP Thursday

http://quiltingintheheartland.blogspot.com/2016/11/wip-thursday.html

Thursday, November 10, 2016. Does anyone else feel like they can spend just as much time organizing and planning projects as they actually do DOING projects? Maybe it's just the effort that's going into planning my new sewing room, but I am itching to do more hands-on sewing. I'm enjoying working on the Moda Building Blocks quilt. I love the Downtown Abbey fabrics, so it's nice to finally be using them! Geometric sewing machine mini (swap project). PB&J Four Square (Leader/Ender project). Many eons ago I...

Life is good!: December 2016

http://quiltingintheheartland.blogspot.com/2016_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 7, 2016. I feel like I've finally been making some progress, although I'm not sure my list shows it! I've completed section A of the Moda Building Blocks, and got five or six quilts basted. I finished the quilting on two of them - my FMQ is certainly not great but I feel like it's coming along! I didn't actually finish my last Moda project, I ended up taking pictures of it unquilted. So it's gone into the tops pile for now. PB&J Four Square (Leader/Ender project). Back at the Bakeshop!

This one is staying with me, I think - just love it! January 9, 2015 at 11:10 AM. How lovely - well done! January 9, 2015 at 1:06 PM. Your q...

Life is good!: Back at the Bakeshop!

http://quiltingintheheartland.blogspot.com/2015/03/back-at-bakeshop.html

Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Back at the Bakeshop! My second Moda Bakeshop. Post went up today! It was a quick and easy project, but I just love the fabrics, and is perfect for Easter and Spring. The fabric is Lucky, and this one uses a fat eighth bundle and white yardage. I did not measure well during construction, and one again proved to myself that you really, really should measure and be precise while making quilts! April 10, 2015 at 1:37 PM. Congrats on being a FQS baker! April 11, 2015 at 7:07 PM.

Latest shenanigans.(did i mention i'm preggo? It has been crazy town over here, and it's been embarrassingly LONG since my last post! That being said, I thought I'd do this post loaded with photos to let you know what I've been up to. First of all, have I mentioned that I'm 7 months preggo? Yup, that's me and my bump and Paige. Photo cred: Lidia Flanigan). And we just listed our house for sale. It goes on market this week! I started moving the necessities into the room, being my Pfaff, a table and a chair.
