52 Quilts in 52 Weeks: 2015-05-10

http://www.52quilts.com/2015_05_10_archive.html

Monday, May 11, 2015. When one rainy/snowy day follows another, the thing to do is: Stay inside and sew! And that's just what I've been doing all weekend. I was seriously behind on my "A Quilt Block a Day" blocks. OK, I confess. I had the black and grey fabrics cut out, and that was it. So I sat down Saturday and Sunday and made 51 Attic Window blocks. I love the way the colors look in the shaded blocks! If you want to join the "A Quilt Block a Day" Facebook group, go here. To see the tutorial.

Quilting B

Saturday, November 5, 2016. Day 3 - At Sea, Friday, August 19th. Just to back up a bit about Barcelona. When we visited the church down from the hotel, I noticed a sign that said "lift to roof". Deb was game so for 3 euro we took the tiny lift up to the top of the church. Here were some of the views. There were 50 quilters along for classes, some husbands and some children. Our conference room had 3 large windows looking out on Deck 5 so we often had many people curiously looking on. Day 2 - Barcelona.

Apr 11, 2011. Spring in the Mail. A photo by QuiltyBee. Look at the fabulous and beautiful and simply wonderful quilt I received from Elisa for DQS10. The details, created with applique and embroidery, are so thoughtful and interesting. I just love the colors and all the texture. And see that 3D flower? To add icing to an already delicious cake, Elisa sent 2 fantastic orange FQ- I am saving them for something for me- and what I finally figured out was a sachet, once I took it out of the wrapper! You know...

Quilty Bits 'n Whatnots

Thursday, August 2, 2012. A couple of fun things. I have always loved this Topsy Turvy Scarecrow pattern. From Happy Hallow Designs! Last summer I found it at the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum Garage Sale. I pulled it out to put together last weekend when I was home with a cold. THIS is exactly why you need a stash, right? I love applique by hand and machine! I need to quilt this and then add “straw” and a corner buttons to finish it off! I wanted the gold diamonds to look like corn; did it work? I’v...
