The Lone Star State: Texans Helping Texans
http://512austintx.blogspot.com/2009/10/texans-helping-texans.html
The Lone Star State. Monday, October 19, 2009. I chose The North Texas Conservative on "Vote "Yes" On Proposition 7. Because if it isn't passed it could take the right away from a police officer to not be allowed to help out in the Texas State Guard, Texas National Guard, Texas Air Guard, etc. I agree with Mr. Griffith and would vote yes on Proposition 7. We would be losing great leaders, mentors, and Texans who are willing to put their life on the line for others. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Political Turf: Death Penalty in Texas
http://astowell.blogspot.com/2009/11/death-penalty-in-texas.html
Let the best man win! Monday, November 2, 2009. Death Penalty in Texas. At the end of the day, I think that we need to change a system and process to better provide a solution to people that could possibly be placed on death row. Just imagine if you were the person that was sentenced to death row and you knew that you were innocent, but there was nothing you could do to find the system. November 16, 2009 at 7:41 AM. Let the best man win! Tuesday, September 22, 2009. Comptroller: Energy bill will cost jobs. Http:/ www.kxan.com/dpp/mobile/Comptroller energy bill will cost jobs. I was reading an article from KXAN's political section and came across something that I found to be interesting. There is currently a new energy bill that is moving through Congress that will implement a cap and trade on energy use. The comptroller is saying that if passed it will cost Texans over a hundred thousand jobs. If they were to pass a...

The Lone Star State: Texas Beaten Future
http://512austintx.blogspot.com/2009/11/texas-beaten-future.html
The Lone Star State. Monday, November 16, 2009. My comment is on Soheb's, "Can we stop Child Abuse in Central Texas? In 2006 and not any time sooner, knowing that the number of abuses was twice the size then any other state. I think facilities like the Relief Nursery of Central Texas is a good start, but we can do better than that as Texans. Just by asking out own kids simple questions such as, how was school today? Or did anything interesting happen to you today? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

La Polaca Tejana: In lieu of taxes, Perry is reaching for fool's gold
http://lapolacatejana.blogspot.com/2009/10/in-lieu-of-taxes-perry-is-reaching-for.html
Monday, October 5, 2009. In lieu of taxes, Perry is reaching for fool's gold. Arnold Garcia Jr. wrote an opinion article in the Austin American-statesman titled, " In lieu of taxes, Perry is reaching for fool's gold. From having lower taxes. Garcia states that. Lower taxes have become a burden for California. While i understand that Gov. Perry thinks that the best thing to do is try to create lower taxes i would have to agree with Garcia's argument. Although, many of us hate the. Pointless. I agree w...

The Lone Star State. Friday, December 11, 2009. Texas Edumacation (* *). I chose to comment on ExtraordiMary. I know being a teacher isn't the highest paid profession in the world or that its pleasant, but if you chose to do this job and not like it, then why are you even teaching at all? Maybe the question is; why is Texas letting you teach like at all if you're not doing your job right? Did you know that the newspaper has to interpret its words to that of a middle school student level? The Eyes of Texas.

Politics of Grace: Texas health and educational problems.
http://insightsfromatexasgirl.blogspot.com/2009/10/average-texan.html
Sunday, October 4, 2009. Texas health and educational problems. I have always thought that Texas is a great state, that everything is better here. Taking this Texas and local government class has proved me wrong. While I was looking for an editorial to talk about I saw a lot of problems people think are wrong with Texas. The editorial I chose from the Austin American statesman. Really shows just how awful Texas is in health insurance, high school graduates and jobs. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Texas Government Affairs: H1N1 Vaccines
http://texasgovernmentaffairs.blogspot.com/2009/11/h1n1-vaccines.html
Monday, November 2, 2009. This past weekend I was talking to my dad about the "swine flu" and what a huge deal it has turned in to. When the swine flu first started to hit the news, it was not something that I worried about or thought that I would ever have to worry about. As time has passed it definitely. I think that it is pretty obvious that this has turned into a much bigger problem than we all expected. Shouldn't there be some sort of priority system? Rehana's U.S.Government Info Blog.
