Peanut butter cookies – Whiskful Thinking
https://whiskful.wordpress.com/2012/11/11/peanut-butter-cookies
November 11, 2012. November 11, 2012. Watch out for the peanut butter punch, taste buds. Lots and lots of peanut butter and ground peanuts! These cookies have a soft, chewy texture. I wanted to make them nice and big, so the thickness of the cookie is what kept it soft. If you’re looking for something more crispy, I imagine you could flatten the cookies more before baking. Rolling the dough balls in ground peanuts adds some extra texture. Plus the little peanut flecks look yummy in the baked cookies.
Almond Hazelnut Roasted Plums – Whiskful Thinking
https://whiskful.wordpress.com/2012/09/03/almond-hazelnut-roasted-plums
Almond Hazelnut Roasted Plums. September 3, 2012. September 3, 2012. I totally lucked out at a recent farmer’s market and ended up with a bargain: ten of the most amazing green plums EVER. These plums are firm yet juicy, tart yet deliciously sweet. Even though it has been wonderful gobbling these plain over the sink, I had the urge to add some (buttery, nutty) flair. This would be SO good with yogurt or ice cream. Roasted Plums with Almond Hazelnut Streusel. 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter. Bake until the ...
Chewy chocolate toffee cookies – Whiskful Thinking

Chewy chocolate toffee cookies. July 30, 2012. After baking countless batches of brownies over the years, I am truly excited to have found these cookies. They are like brownie cookies! The recipe has been posted here. I’ve known about it for a couple of years but have never gotten around to making them. Until now, thank goodness! Slightly adapted from Smitten Kitchen. I went a little shy on the salt, and I used pecans instead of walnuts. I also went shy on the sugar, but that’s because my choco...5 14-ou...

About 5 Minutes of Summer. You’d never know it by following this blog, but summer happened. And it was a total whirlwind. recipes on my nightstand
Recipes on my nightstand. December 3, 2013. This chicken soup was on regular rotation for B and me last winter. It’s a light, comforting meal in a bowl, and it’s so fragrant from the dill and lemon. The biscuits are optional of course, but they make this meal indulgent and special. Flaky and buttery, they are the perfect complement to the light soup. And we all know, biscuits would totally beat dinner rolls in a fight. Photo cred again goes to Baruch. For the biscuits, I will direct you to Smitten Kitchen.
