I say it, she says it, I say it with more gumption, she says it with more spunk. We might get louder, or a little more feisty. Just this morning, I was getting ready to head outside. Thursday, July 16, 2015. Disclaimer: This is a total processing post. I came to the computer on emotional overload.). I've had a day full of emotional negotiations with my children. I'm exhausted and the day isn't close to being over yet. Maybe often, my mothering, as presented on the blog, could look like things are always rosy and figured out and neat and happy. There are days, like today, where I end up losing my cool as I'm trying to handle someone else's emotion. Acceptance of what you can't change.

Thursday, July 30, 2015. See those two squares of blanket out there in my darkening yard? They were my patches of hope tonight. Sometimes I'm amazed how, all in one day, I can feel deflated by discouragement and frustration, be crying and quiet and a poor excuse for company, and then come back again. I was feeling down about my life. Feeling like I'm failing at motherhood, and mothering, and nurturing, and the whole deal. Full of doubt about the future. But then, miraculously, things flipped around.

Thursday, April 09, 2015. One of my friends just met death, up close and personal, yesterday. He had to say goodbye to his father. For whatever reason, he has shared some of his feelings with me, let me in on his processing. I've been grateful for that sharing, and for what it has prompted me to ponder again. Over the last five days, as I anticipated, with him, the passing of his father, it brought to mind the entire experience of losing mine. Of what I've come to know. What I depend on. What I trust in.

The doctors assistant was really nice, told me start taking probiotics right away and asked if the over the counter pain meds were enough. Since I don't usually have much pain. Which is why I'm such a baby about it right now). I really have no cause to take them ever. I had to go buy some just for the occasion because I didn't even have any at home).
