The Remains of my Day. Thursday, December 18, 2014. War Time Christmas * First morning! We started the morning by waking the kids up with the sounds of a London air raid siren. Then we all hid in the bathroom for a minute (this worried the dog so we kept it short). Once the air raid had passed, we sat around the glow of the Apple MacBook Pro and listened to Chamberlain announce that Britain is at war with Germany. Instead of "THE OFFICE" re-runs on Netflix, we watched a roaring fire.

Today is Clay's 6th birthday, which is a fact that blows my mind because I'm certain that Mike and I just got married day before yesterday and I graduated from high school just last year. But, it's true. He's six. And in case you were counting, I'm not eighteen. After cake and presents, we went downtown to the Pirates game. It was a GORGEOUS evening, and afterwards there were fireworks. Pittsburgh's a town mad for fireworks, and the show was spectacular. Wednesday, June 17, 2009.
