Monday, January 30, 2012. This project was inspired by David Carson and is typography. The best thing i like about this piece is the colors because it just brings the city out. The process i used to do the background is by splatter painting. The theme I am going to use throughout the semester is the idea of nightlife. The darker colors like blue, purple and greens. With objects like the moon, stars, woods, owls, things you see at night. My concentration will be focused on color harmony in divided compositions. Friday, March 20. An "A", "R", and "T" in pastels. This is a quick piece I did in oil pastels (ughh, messy)over blue tape I had cut to make the letters and squares that I peeled off later to get the clean lines. Wednesday, May 1, 2013. This project was so fun, but oil pastels are so hard to work with, idk if I ever want to work with them againg because they smudge so easily. I like the shadow because it looks like a reall shadow! This is my absolute favorite because of the claw marks comming from the hands. It adds to the piece, rather than just a hand print. Friday, May 21, 2010. The medium for this art piece is acrylic on plywood. I like the clean, cut, and minimalistic view on this one. The colors remind me of a summer polo.
