I really love this piece. i spent a long time working on the water in the background. i was a major part of both sides. Hey my name is Blake and this is my blog. Feel free to critique/comment on whatever you like i'm open to any suggestions. I really like shading and prisma color, its definately my strong point i think, or just sketching in general. Friday, March 20, 2009. This one is called Defiance. That's what the letters spell, so i thought it would be an appropriate title. This is done with acrylic paint. I don't normally like using paint so it didn't turn out too hot. Check my stuff out! Tuesday, February 17, 2009. I did this piece in Art 2 it is one of my favorites. Its a collage of a world issue that's going on now. I choose to do poverty. The picture is of a man sitting on the streets trying to get spare change with his cart and bags beside him. I really liked this piece i think i could have worked harder on it but it turned out pretty good i thought. I chose to draw soccer balls because soccer is my life and it kind of symbolizes that. Another altered book entry. This prompt was, 'too late'. For my entry I put a picture of a running man, to me he looks like he is going to work, on top of an image already in my book. I think this piece turned out really well. I used a technique where i pealed up rubber cemment from painted strips of paper , and then painted them again.
