Room 1 2016 Clive School. Friday, 18 November 2016. Room One was smelling fantastic on Friday as our Inquiry Groups made their trial pizzas. The focus of this pizza making was actually about working in groups, learning to listen to others and possibly needing to compromise and also about taking turns and sharing. Most children did this fabulously and I was really proud of those that compromised a little. Well done! There were certainly some 'interesting' combinations being put to the test! Room 1 @ Clive.

Room 1 2016 Clive School. Thursday, 18 August 2016. First we learnt about Place Value. Where the number sits tells us how much it is . The 2 in 12 means 2 but the 2 in 27 means 20 ( 2 groups of 10 ). Next we put numbers into houses and showed.our number with rods,. Great when we get the idea isn't it Kaiden. Friday, 23 September 2016. Today we went for a walk to see how the underpass looked now that it is finished. We enjoyed the walk over there, on the way, we stopped to watch diggers and trucks working by the church. The underpass is now painted and we we think it is looking pretty cool. We were interested in the skylights and ventilation tubes. At the other side, we saw where the time capsule was buried. We made a book about what school is like for us in 2016 to put in it.
