I eat miles for breakfast. On March 4, 2011. Back to my calf… What started out as a strained soleus muscle (lower calf) turned out to also be an issue with my posterior tibial tendon. This particular tendon connects at the bottom of my foot, wraps around my ankle, and heads north to my upper calf. So was it both? Was it the tendon the whole time? Did one injury cause the other? September 25, 2010 in Uncategorized. First big weekend bike ride in my new home; I decided to man up early, when W went off to the bakery at 5:30. Took the train into SF from the east bay, and rode from the Embarcadero station to golden gate park; and then over and out! Into Sausalito I went. The funny thing was that I wasn’t alone. Almost from embarcadero, I had stumbled my way upon about 5,000 other riders doing the same. Apparently it was a 2-day charity ride for MS, up to Sonoma. The Science of Sport.

Monday, August 10, 2015. Training update 8-10-15 or hopping down the comeback trail. The picture was taken just after finishing my first non stop run last Sunday, a 3 miler. Giving thanks for finally being back on the road. I am very pleased with the progress so far. After that first non stop run I have been able to drop any walk breaks . I took off Monday and just did a 2 mile walk and then ran 3 days in a row, feeling stronger each day. Went for another 2 mile walk on Friday. Monday, August 03, 2015.
