Back to the Basics. June 23, 2015. June 23, 2015. Under Balance Training, Core Training and Corrective Exercise. So this morning, after a heavy abs, obliques and glutes workout last night, I’m feeling soreness. But not the I can’t walk or I am walking like Alice after the mule ride from the Grand Canyon episode of The Brady Bunch . I just feel fatigued. But my legs feel lighter and easier to move. So that means it’s working! At least I hope so.). So you can support your running? Learning to Run Again.

July 10, 2015. July 10, 2015. For the first long run still at the beginning of training so it was only 3 miles, but based on achieving a distance as opposed to short runs which are time based for me and did great despite the heat. The next part of the day was the weekly grocery trip all fruits, veggies and protein. No junk, nothing bad, nothing processed (nothing fun). I was on a roll. Remember when I said distance running was primarily mental? Should I add a day in? This is for REAL runners! That’s when...

Learning to Run Again. June 30, 2015. Most of you out there, and I’m seriously jealous, know how to run. And I know you’re thinking, What’s to learn? Just move your feet. Except if you’re me. Happy Birthday to Me: Closing Out Week 6 – RunningMy.Life
http://runningmy.life/2015/08/09/happy-birthday-to-me-closing-out-week-6
Happy Birthday to Me: Closing Out Week 6. August 9, 2015. August 9, 2015. The past two weeks of running have been fairly successful. I am wanting to run more, but am keeping it slow at my 1:00/0:30 intervals. This is training to avoid temptation so I don’t go out too fast in January. Jeff Galloway had a post on his Instagram account:. 8220;Your strongest muscle and your worst enemy is your mind. Train it well.”. That trip was also a great planning trip as this week I also lucked into a last minute Disney...

When you move, they can't getcha. Please update your bookmarks. Please update your bookmarks to The Muslim Orange. I can’t think of a title. Is it just me, or is it somewhat sad that I’ve been finding the motivation to work out, yet unable to write about it? I worked out for about an hour yesterday, and I’ve been feeling really, really good–but I don’t know if I want to make fitness the main focus of this blog anymore. The one year anniversary of Running Muslimah is coming up in a few days! The wind was ...

Running: My Anti-Drug
Monday, April 6, 2015. Back to the Beginning. So here's to new beginnings. Thursday, February 26, 2015. Right now there isn't anything going on with me-hence the lack of blogs. I started this blog on my journey into running and my first half marathon almost 5 years ago (HOLY COW! The Monday after the marathon I made it to 3 parks and took some medal pics. It rained half the day so I'm glad I decided to do this earlier rather than later. The parade the first night I was there. Rock n Roller Coaster. As we...
Running my Ashe Off
Running my Ashe Off. Thoughts on Running, Exercise, and Life. Tuesday, November 5, 2013. 2013 Marine Corps Marathon Recap. Howdy sports fans, it's been a while. Last Sunday, a week before turning 47, I ran my 17th marathon and 6th Marine Corps Marathon. To cut to the chase, I ran a 3:15:52. Not my fastest (4th slowest), but definitely one of the easiest. I even began doing my long runs at 8:00s and even 7:45s. Of course, I wrote that off as being totally unrelated to running too fast. Took pretty much al...

Running My Ass Off | Just another WordPress site
Running My Ass Off. Just another WordPress site. Start of Week 2, Marathon Training. I don’t avoif hills when I train. I actually like them as they push me to get just a little stronger on the runs. Sometimes on flat terrain, I will do a 10 second all-out sprint as part of my run, sprint, recover, sprint, recover. I am well aware that the more I tax myself, the more I will progress as an athelete. This week culminates in a long run of 6 miles. That seems long but I think I can do it. June 10, 2007. The o...
