January 13, 2013. I then grabbed the second spare strip and make a mirror image of the the strip I had just bent. I then rounded the corners, broke the edges, drilled holes in each end and deburred the holes. I then drilled and deburred the hole in the rib and clecoed the new anti-hang up strip into position. Today Bill and I spent most of the day in the shed. By the end of the day we had finished riveting all the ribs on both fuel tanks. We pretty much used the same method as for the first fuel tank so I won’t repeat that here. Here are the photos of progress made today. Build time today 7 hours. More Fuel Tank Sealing.
Michael's RV-7A Project: Inverted Fuel Tank Modifications
http://boilermakerrv.blogspot.com/2013/04/inverted-fuel-tank-modifications.html
The trials and tribulations of an amatuer aircraft builder. Wednesday, April 10, 2013. Inverted Fuel Tank Modifications. I thought that having tanks fitted for inverted flight might be added value if and when I decide to sell the RV. Let's hope that day, if it ever comes, is after many years of flying enjoyment. Anyway, the tank modifications necessary for sustained, inverted flight are actually quite simple and could easily be done after completion, but I decided to go ahead and do the work now. Brad Ol...

UKFigs RV-7 Blog: July 2009
http://ukfigs.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
This blog contains my comments and my observations during the construction, maintenance, and flying the Van's RV-7. Flying the test phase. Thursday, July 30, 2009. Only issue I had was I still have high CHT's. In particular on #1 cylinder on initial climb-out , cruise CHT's. Were all fine and ranged from 360 to 375 with EGT. Oil consumption on the ECI. 0-360 is still good and I am about to add the first qt after about 20 hours after the oil change, the motor isalso. Running very smooth with the Landoll.
UKFigs RV-7 Blog: June 2009
http://ukfigs.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
This blog contains my comments and my observations during the construction, maintenance, and flying the Van's RV-7. Flying the test phase. Wednesday, June 24, 2009. The worst damaged place was on both inboard sections and I concluded that this was exacerbated by the exhaust resonance vibrating the retaining wires. To correct this I bent the wires and locked them in place with a hinge lug screwed into the firewall flange, so far so good, we will see at the next oil change. Labels: Flying the RV-7.

Matt's RV-7 Project
Matt's RV-7 Project. When your hobbies get in the way of your work, that's okay. But when your hobbies get in the way of themselves. well.". June 21st, 2015. I also closed out the two firewall passthroughs. And here's the one on the port side:. I will probably put some kind of sealant on the inboard side of the firewall passthroughs as further proof against fumes and carbon monoxide, but that can be done later. Being able to check off a major family of firewall-forward tasks is huge! June 21st, 2015.
Building our airplane
Now in the works. I'm Mike Raviv, 61, retired Mechanical Engineer and quite active aviation enthusiast. I live in Nesher, Israel. For many years I planned to build an airplane, now I got the time to do it. This is a family project, with all family members trying to help as much as time allows them. You'll meet them all in the following pages. So I'll try to keep this site simple and efficient, with minimum time invested in it. As I said, I want to build an airplane, not websites. PIC OF THE WEEK. Two rib...

I'd like to thank all my friends for hanging in there while real life took me away from this project. :) Progress has been slow, but I've finally reached a point where I can show you some good pictures. RV-8 Garage
Joe's RV-8 Project. Rudder Trailing Edge Bend. Last night I was able to work on a the rudder a little bit before the Royals wild card game (we won! The big thing I needed to do before I could cleco everythign together and do my final drilling was to bend the trailing edge. To do this, Van’s has you build a home made brake out of some lumber. Here is my brake, it is made of two 2x6s and then screwed to my workbench so the lower one is flush with the top:. And here is everything all cleco’d together:.

Groakin the Cave Dweller
Groakin the Cave Dweller. Monday, May 30, 2011. New Boulder - Castle Rock Cube. Another fun-looking problem I tried is just around the right corner, with the left hand slapping up the arete (heel hooking left). This problem is suggested v8/9 and is not named. It appears the holds peter out as one ascends and it might just be a huge throw to the top. The moves I was able to do were fun. Saturday, December 26, 2009. Highlights from our gift opening on Christmas day 2009. Tuesday, December 15, 2009. This pa...
