Thursday, November 12, 2009. The floors are going in and they look so pretty. We're almost half-way done and are on track to move by Thanksgiving! Den and Living Room. Sneak peak at the shower Tom has been slaving over. Still some more grouting to do before he's completely done. I'm very behind on posting, but am trying to catch up. Monday, December 21, 2009. Well, we are all moved in and getting settled. There are still a zillion boxes to go through, but luckily I can hide most of them in the attic until I'm ready to go through them. There's barely anything on the walls yet and we still have some furniture, rugs and curtains to buy, but I'm finding that this all takes time (not good for those of us who are not patient). Monday, September 13, 2010. Hunter's 2nd Birthday Party! We had Hunter's party on Saturday and he had so much fun! The inflatable bouncer was a big hit, as was the choo choo train birthday cake! A great time was had by all. The party was at 10am and I served a couple of breakfast casseroles, Chick Fil A chicken nuggets, and fruit. Monday, August 9, 2010. First Day of Pre-Kindergarten. Today is Landon's first day of Pre-Kindergarten. We met his teachers yesterday and they are super sweet. I've heard wonderful things about the lead teacher and the assistant is the mother of one of Landon's friends. So, this should be a really good year! Exploring life one step at a time. August 31, 2014. How does one condense the experience of 13 months on the road into one blog post? I'll start with some fun and some numbers:. I saw 17 World Heritage Sites. I ate at four Michelin starred restaurants. I visited four continents, 19 countries, eight islands, and had my feet in 11 different oceans/seas/gulfs. I used 24 different types of transport, flew on 34 airplanes, and took 32 trains. I went to the emergency room three times and had surgery once.
