March 18, 2009. Posted by Illuminator under Uncategorized.

Savoring Each Moment
Friday, May 27, 2011. That's the way we used the porch all last summer, and we really enjoyed it. Then, this past March, I got the notion that if we moved all those bags of cement and other baggy-things (up against the far-left window), we'd have even more. Porch at our disposal. So, at my request, my hulking husband moved 30 eighty-pound bags around the house and into the garage. And it was awesome! I started thinking that since we already had the stucco material (remember all those 80-pound bags? We we...

August 5, 2013 · 3:50 pm. Last week Anna and I attended our first Dishcrawl. Having been invited by the organizer, Rosalie. Part of the fun of Dishcrawl is that you have to take your chances; you don’t find out where you’re starting until the day before, and you don’t find out each subsequent stops until you’re on your way there. We were a tiny bit skeptical when we learned we’d be starting at Track Town Pizza. The barbecue pizza is the best thing. Continue reading →. Filed under $ ($10 or under entrees).

Golden Girl Granola Product Review and Avocado Chocolate Pudding. February 9, 2015. As it is with bloggers, I receive requests to review products, most of which I decline as either it would not be something I would personally eat or use, like processed food or excessive kitchen gadgetry. I select those that I feel would be useful, healthy and valuable to share. Recently I was contacted by Ethan Casucci, Director of Client Services at Thought for Food and Son. Who introduced me to Golden Girl Granola.

Exploring life one step at a time. August 31, 2014. How does one condense the experience of 13 months on the road into one blog post? I'll start with some fun and some numbers:. I saw 17 World Heritage Sites. I ate at four Michelin starred restaurants. I visited four continents, 19 countries, eight islands, and had my feet in 11 different oceans/seas/gulfs. I used 24 different types of transport, flew on 34 airplanes, and took 32 trains. I went to the emergency room three times and had surgery once.
Savoring Flavors
Tuesday, May 19, 2015. How about a jump start for your morning that can help you throughout your day! I found this recipe here. I've been following 101 Cookbooks for several years now and visit often. In fact I mentioned to my son that it was there I first saw a recipe using mesquite flour. I love her site it looks fresh and clean - recipes are awesome. 2 cups fresh kale in pieces - no stems. 1 cup fresh pineapple in chunks. 1 banana (skin removed). 1/2 fresh raw goat milk (org. uses almond). I'm always ...

Savoring Fruit From the Family Tree
Savoring Fruit From the Family Tree. On this blog, we muse about the fruit we taste when we learn about family members, both living and dead, through family history writing. Wandering through the "family tree orchard," we conduct interviews, enjoy family reunions, and figure out how to make lemonade (and fruit cake! From the heritage we share with the fruits and nuts on our family trees. Thursday, August 28, 2014. We Believe in Visions. Our five-year-old grandson asked, “What is the future? A mental pict...

Savoring His Grace
As mothers, we all feel like we are suffocating, at times. This life is hard. Raising kids is hard. Our society teaches us that each man if for himself. But.God never designed it this way. He wanted (and still wants) us to rely on each other in a community of women, lifting each other up! There have been so many times in my motherhood journey that I reached out to God in desperation. I felt unprepared, unfocused, and particularly LOST! It is, in so many ways, "hope for the MOM who needs to BREATHE! We ha...
