Tuesday, August 15, 2006. A County Fair Day. We went to a county fair yesterday. It was long way. I was surprised that we don’t need pay money to ride on bus. In a county fair, there were many animals. For example, horses, cows, seeps, rabitts,and pigs! I have been loved pigs since I was a child. So I wanted to ride a pig, but real pigs were scary more than I expected. So I quitted to ride a pig, and I rode an attraction. Thank you for beautiful two weeks. Posted by Sayaka @ 6:17 AM. Monday, August 07, 2006. In this week end, we went to Washington D.C. by metro. On Saturday, we walked for a long time. First, we went to The Vietnam War’s memorial. There is a long wall with the name of the war dead. Second we went to The Lincoln memorial. We associate the name of Lincoln with slavery. We go to inside, and we found the very big Lincoln’s statue. Wednesday, August 09, 2006. Yesterday we discussed about family. I am surprised that divorce is a normal action in America. Almost of Japanese think that divorce is bad. Then I enjoyed shopping very much. I like shopping. Yesterday, I bought two things. One is a book of Sponge Bob. Do you know Sponge Bob? He is a very cute character of animation. Tuesday, August 08, 2006. Yesterday I went to the Washington post. I ‘m very interested in media, because I want to work for a broadcast company in future. So I enjoyed there. Monday, August 14, 2006. On Aug13, 2006. We went to Mt.Vernon. Geo.Washington’s house is there, as well as many as many small buildings, farms and gardens. There seems to be a town. We call it "Mt , but it is a high hill. We went up it, and we found George Washington’s tomb. I was surprised that the tomb was open to the public. Then we visited to George’s house. It was too big! Friday, August 18, 2006. Come back to my home. I came back to Japan and my home. Yesterday, when I came home, my father and oleder sister met me. My mother has been in my grandmother's home. It locates in Toyama prefecture. The two weeks that I stayed in Maryland are very fun and include. It is as if a dream. I really appreciate Nina, Kevin, Ji Won, Laura, Tim, Linda and all the people I met in America. I learned about importance of effort to achive my dream from mentors. I liked the phrase "my pleasure".
