I had to dance a little jig right there - I'm sure everyone on University Ave. was looking at the rainbow, rather than at me! The irony was that instead of a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, there were golden arches. Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Scattered Gardening in MS. Gardening opens doors to new worlds. About my Scattered blog - Spring Ambitions. Every gardener, especially in the South, knows about grand Springtime ambitions and feeble Midsummer realities. This cycle of ambitions is likely to apply to my blogging as well as my gardening, but since the glory of Spring is upon us here in Mississippi, I'm up for giving this a try! SCATTERED refers to several things:. 3 My brain function these days. PURPOSE of the blog is twofold.

My thoughts on gardening and the domestic arts. Laquo; Turned Over the Garden. Posted March 27, 2014 by plot26 in Uncategorized. My thoughts on gardening and the domestic arts. Spring Break like a boss. Posted by plot26 in Uncategorized. I picked up a 5 lb. bag of oranges and a piece of fresh ginger. I juiced all of the oranges with half the carrots and small amounts of ginger. Ten pounds of produce yielded about 1 1/2 quarts of delicious juice. I’m going to have to do this more often! My second planting of green beans, this time a full row, is now producing a nice crop despite plenty of insect damage to the foliage. Tilthissippi: April 2010

http://tilthissippi.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

Tuesday, April 27, 2010. J and I stopped at the garden last night, and of course, it took his keen birding skills to find our little feathered friends. We saw two of the four - sorry, no pics of those - scurrying around looking for dinner. The parents were indeed nearby, calling to each other about the predator in the area. Thursday, April 22, 2010. Can you see them? While this nesting site seemed a little suspect at first, the benefit is now pretty clear. Monday, April 19, 2010. Bring on the heat. Now a...

Scattered Gardener

Sunday, 20 March 2011. Glorious sunny Sunday afternoon in the back garden. You know how as the season starts, it's hard to decide what to do first? I wandered round for almost an hour looking at the mess and wondering where to start, despite P having given the lawn its first cut of 2011 earlier in the day. Oak leaves strewn all over the place ( including covering the surface of the pond - is it too late to clear it? Alas dear readers it was the compost bin, my first experience of what can happen to worms...
