Musings of an addicted knitter living in Southern California. Sunday, June 20, 2010. So my DH and I decided to spend this Father's Day tidying up the front yard a bit and filling bird feeders. We did have a nice breakfast at Green Street and a tour around Armstrong Nursery before getting to work. This poor creature was perched on cuttings from our morning's labor in the front yard. He seems to be on his last legs as his wings are quite tattered and he is missing the end of one of his antennae. Sunday, Ju...

Musings of an addicted knitter living in Southern California. Thursday, December 31, 2009. 2009 Pre Parade Photos. In case you don't already know, I live just "up the hill" from Pasadena, home of the Rose Parade. Greg and I usually make a run down Colorado to see some of the people camped out for the night.we do it before it gets too crazy! I had hoped for a shot of someone knitting. Sadly, that didn't happen. But I did get a few good ones. You see many news crews and well-loved vehicles. The final pictu...

Woodvale Knits: January 2008
http://woodvaleknits.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 16, 2008. Here is a tip for you from our friends at Skein. Posted by Bridget Samuels. Links to this post. Monday, January 7, 2008. Happy holidays from Woodvale! Yes, we are still here. Too much knitting to get done before Christmas meant no time for posts! Mom made an intarsia stocking for her sister, along with multiple pairs of slippers: pink piggies for me; for my sister, Chelsea, a pair made to look like her favorite horse, Rex. MathMom – Adventures in Food, Exercise and Domestics. Always trying something new…. Dye Day November 2008. November 25, 2008 by mathmom. So, I have now tried dyeing roving. Some of my Wed. night knitting friends had the idea to have a “Dye Day” where we could all get together and dye yarn and/or roving. This was a great idea, and lots of fun. We were able to share ideas, help each other, and learn from watching what others did. And used them to dye some corriedale cross roving. Continue Reading ». Here&#...
