kreachr's little corner: Dude, I'm sorry...
http://kreachr.at.jessep.co.nz/2015/05/dude-im-sorry.html
Tuesday, 26 May 2015. Dude, I'm sorry. I've been working on a shawl over the last few days. One I started back in 2013 - this seems to be a bit of a theme of late, picking up old projects I started too long ago. Shawl, knit with Skeinz. Mink yarn in laceweight. With a colour change, I decided to work in some of my handspun scraps. Now, I'd come to the realisation some time ago that as much as I like spinning, and the finished yarn in a skein. I don't particularly like the finished yarn knit. I apologise ...

Mahi and Aroha: January 2014
http://mahiandaroha.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 30, 2014. Is my latest design I am so excited to share. Was inspired by the Vintage yarn range by Skeinz. Is a great solid DK/8ply yarn, it's got a nice stitch definition, is easy to knit and comes in a pretty range of suitably vintage inspired colours. Filigree. Is the latest yarn in the range and is a kid/mohair laceweight (think kidsilk haze-like). In a clever move Skeinz have used the same colour palette so both yarns can be used together. In the pattern and in this photo tutorial.

Cheviot jersey | holda's string

I came across the yarn for this jersey as I was looking at the website of Skeinz. So, I chose a pattern. On Ravelry by the designer Amy Miller with an interesting seamless, set-in sleeve construction and ordered the yarn. The jersey body is knit in the round from the bottom up and divided at the armholes. The sleeves are picked up around the armhole and the sleeve caps shaped with short row shaping before the remaining sleeve is knitted downwards to the cuff. I am very happy with the result:.
