Sped Teacher Kate

Saturday, August 15, 2015. It's funny when you read something and it totally validates what you've been feeling or thinking. Wednesday, August 12, 2015. So today was the first day of the Autism symposium. I have to admit I've been looking forward to this since I signed up in June. I have wanted to check out the University of Washington's autism center since I've had a few encounters with resources from them and see what this was all about. The symposium itself was free for me to go.yes I said free! One o...

Sped Teacher Kate: Take Me Out to The Ball Game!

http://www.spedteacherkate.blogspot.com/2015/08/take-me-out-to-ball-game.html

Monday, August 10, 2015. Take Me Out to The Ball Game! On the way in just the trucks like 50 semis at least.and on the way out got to see all of her minions it was weird seeing that many crop tops and red lipped 12 year olds. I went with Carl and his coworkers it was pretty cool riding the bus to the game. My other family members drove and had a heck of a time parking probably because of all that was going on that day. http://www.spedteacherkate.blogspot.com/2015/08/start-of-north-bend-adventures.html

Monday, August 10, 2015. Start of North Bend Adventures. I found one of the best playground toys ever on one of my morning walks. When cleaning out my classroom I found a red velvet santa. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with him but something awesome must be in his future. Or maybe I'll ship him off to Rachel because I can't think of anything awesome. I also found this out while walking.how cool is that! I hope I get a student to this level having a text book with a manatee makes me super excited.

Sped Teacher Kate: Hair Done

http://www.spedteacherkate.blogspot.com/2015/08/hair-done.html

Monday, August 10, 2015. My friend works at a salon in Bellevue and I was ready for a "tune up" before school starts. While my hair wasn't bad I realized that I wasn't super excited for the all over color that I had done it felt too flat. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Random Thoughts of Rachel. emerald city chronicles: Sunriver Part II

http://saraike3.blogspot.com/2015/07/sunriver-part-ii.html

We successfully enjoyed our 2nd annual Isaacson family vacation to Sunriver, Oregon! It started off so fun with a jam-packed father's day. All five of us went to church with my parent's our significant others, and all the kiddos. Then the dad's plus a few of us played golf. We celebrated Hank and Ole's third birthday. And we finished the day with a fun father's day game that was received well with a lot of laughter. The fathers playing golf. Dominic fouts memorial golf tournament. Mom with baby ali.

http://saraike3.blogspot.com/2009/01/fem-seks-sju-tte.html

Fem, seks, sju, åtte. That would be, 5, 6, 7, 8 in Norwegian. Just some of the language I have picked up while attending "Kick off" class at the NTNU. Norwegian classes vs. American classes = not that different. The class was quite entertaining, especially thanks to these lovely Italian boys who joined us in our workout; Fabio on the left and Federico on the right. Federico left partway through because it wasn't his style. From Movies 12/25/08 9:09 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Will Run for Wine.

Life As We Know It: 'Tis the Season

http://lifewithfrankandjenna.blogspot.com/2012/12/tis-season.html

Life As We Know It. December 15, 2012. I can't believe Christmas is in 1 week! September was just here.or at least it felt that way. Although I like that our life hasn't drug on, I am sad that Kasen is growing up SO fast, yet happy that he is growing up. Does that make any sense? Anyways, I love Christmas time, but have had a hard time getting into the grove of things. Now that the house is decorated and tree is up I hope my Christmas spirit rises! And here is the finished product. That's it for now.

I have been so busy organizing, rearranging, preparing and getting to know kindergarten that I haven't had much time to do anything else. Although, I came home exhausted every night I have loved every minute of it. Here are some pictures of the classroom before and at the end of the post you will see some after pictures. emerald city chronicles: My Summer STEM Externship

http://saraike3.blogspot.com/2015/07/my-summer-stem-externship.html

My Summer STEM Externship. I applied for a externship this summer to work in a STEM career. The purpose of this externship is to pick up real world uses of science, technology, engineering and (most importantly for me) math. Moreover, we were tasked to look for different pathways to STEM careers, and look for the "soft skills" required to maintain or even thrive in these jobs. Me after i waved off the sea glider with a magnet. Our field team going into puget sound to deploy the sea glider. Where the Musi...

Catty Tails

Friday, February 10, 2006. I looked out this morning and saw 3 of the cats eating breakfast, just like a family would. Recruiter had two others- the little grey one and the solid black one. Then this evening Recuiter came up to the door with soaking wet head and neck. I wonder where he'd been. Posted by Sue @ 5:36 PM. Sunday, February 05, 2006. I do not believe that it is possible to teach a cat to obey; that is contrary. Remove them each time. Do they know I'm unhappy with them, and don't care? When it ...

Journal Prompt: The Life of a Sped Teacher

Friday, October 1, 2010. When too much is enough. Nothing boils my blood faster than being across the meeting table from a woman who sits there with a perpetual frown. The lines are etched in her face. She has perfected the scowl. She flicks papers in an important way and clutches the pen she is holding, as though about to take note of something that irritates her. Her eyes are narrow, suspicious. She seems offended. I hope I never become her. Did she start out this way? He doesn't fit in, he's a nuisanc...
