About Me

http://www.stephaniecitron.com/about-me

Even while majoring in journalism at the University of Maryland, I didn’t imagine how riveting my professional future would be. My work takes me to exotic landscapes and into contact with inspiring, progressive-minded people, in all realms of contemporary living. My preferred destinations are soulful, authentic locales where the natives are impassioned about their surroundings and their cuisine is locally procured. Check out my professional biography. the world through a frame

Saturday, January 29, 2011. Oh, hello there 2011. I almost didn't see you there. Is it appropriate to be wishing a happy new year exactly 29 days in? Well I've never been big on being conventional anyway so. happy new year! No resolutions for me as I find them to be pretty obnoxious. Not sure why the start of a new year is so popular with wiping the slate clean. People should realize that can happen on any day of the year. Think about it. Thursday, June 24, 2010. Carnivals, festivals, the shore, oh my!

To take that job in a different city? To leave your broken marriage? To take that one-year sabbatical? To quit that job you hate? The best way to find out what we really need is to get rid of what we don't. I help them give themselves permission to make choices that empower and free them, because I believe that when you free yourself, you free everyone else too. Are you ready to discover what you are tolerating?

Saturday, July 25, 2015. Sauvie Africa, 9"x12" oil. Sauvie Africa Reflections, 9"x12" oil. There is a place on Sauvie Island down a gravel road and through a cattle gate called "Africa" because it seems so remote and wild. Instead of wildebeests, cattle graze and gather under shady trees. The weather was cool and cloudy, a welcome relief from recent heat. Light stayed constant throughout the day, easier for plein air painting. I painted two studies, both on 9" x 12" canvas panels. 310 & 311 MC | Stephanie CK Li

310 and 311 MC. April 28, 2010 in 311MC. We also decided that we did not need the stop motion section in the final.I thought it was much more sinister in terms of “we don’t know what happens next” sort of flow. I think it works better because during the critique, nobody bought up what happened next, people can assume their own endings which is a good thing in my opinion as we have left it open for own judgement. Editing is now completed and all we need to do is burn it on to disc! April 27, 2010 in 311MC.

Stephanie's Critical Literacy Blog

Thursday, April 2, 2009. Question: In the book "Making Literacy Real"  how was the teacher able to do all those field trips with her students, including overnight trips and trips that were long distances? Who paid for all of the trips? Comment:  I thought that it was a great idea that Ashley used  "I Spy with My Little Eye" to get the kids to look at the wrappers.  That would be a good idea for my project and having the kids look at the ad. stephanie claire - THESE DAYS

A master in the art of living. Draws no sharp distinction. Between work and play,. Nor labor and leisure,. Nor mind and body,. Nor education and recreation. She hardly knows which is which. She simply pursues her vision of excellence through doing. Whatever she is doing and leaves others to determine whether she is working or playing. To herself, she always appears to be doing both.
