I just missed it this year, so instead I’ll have to just enjoy the Arizona equivalent—palo verde bloosoms—from my back yard. They aren't cherry blossoms, but I still love them! Wednesday, February 25, 2015. We're having another harsh winter! Or at least it has been rough by NC standards. We have had a couple of little snowstorms and supposedly have a big one on the way tonight. Yikes! School has been cancelled for five of the last seven school days. We've had LOTS of quality time at home. We had exactly one day of good sledding weather. AND I finally bought sleds this year! One of them already got broken.). That looks like it hurts. Every year I forget how fun sledding is.

Thursday, July 2, 2015. Brandon's 8th grade graduation. It was a big year for B-train, too. His last year of middle school! Moving on to high school. That's hard to wrap my brain around. Middle school didn't have the same fun-filled week. I guess they're too old for hall decorations and class parties. His graduating class is BIG. We picked the good looking kid in the suit out of the crowd. He struggled with some of his grades this year,. Particularly in science, so we were thrilled. To cheer him on, too.

Friday, July 18, 2014. I got to cash in on my birthday gift from Andrew and go ZIPLINING for the first time. Woo hoo! The Kersey Valley zipline. Is only about a 15 minute drive away from us.
