Saturday, August 2, 2008. Yesterday I woke up and turned on the tv. "Catfish are 'walking' down the street". Say wha? That is just CRAZY to me! I think I would freak out if I saw fish meandering down the way! He also put away all of the silverware (all by himself! Although it wasn't in the right compartments, but at least it was put away and he swept the kitchen! I will certainly be encouraging this behavior! Thursday, July 31, 2008. So I have never blogged before I just decided to do this on a whim. I guess we'll see how it goes! And keep up he does! It's a wonder I haven't lost umpteen pounds running after that little booger! He may have Down syndrome, but it sure doesn't slow him down! On Tuesday we received the unexpected news that she won't be with us for much longer. Alison and I still intend to get married at an outrageous over-the-top wedding just like we planned for March 2nd. But for now, we must confront the imminent loss of Al's mother, and all that entails.

Monday, March 23, 2015. When we first walked into our new house - I saw an ugly fireplace and 19' ceilings. I knew I wanted floor to ceiling stone work…but didn't want to spend a ton of money. After a bit of research, I found Airestone at Lowes. This was lightweight stone that we could install ourselves. It was a no brainer. The great folks at Lowes helped us gather all the material we would need for our project and soon we started laying the stone. Our finished product was nothing less than amazing.
