3ds Max 2009 blog: December 2009
http://bmarck-3dsmax09.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
3ds Max 2009 blog. Friday, 11 December 2009. In this module I have found one of my most valued strengths to be creativity and patience. This work is very time consuming and requires a great deal of effort to get the desired results. I also like to credit my ability to pick up and learn new skills which have helped me tremendously in terms of Modelling, Texturing and Lighting effects. I fell my biggest threat this is area of work has to be time management. I will in future be planning work with a sche...

3ds Max 2009 blog: Swordfish Texturing
http://bmarck-3dsmax09.blogspot.com/2009/12/swordfish-texturing.html
3ds Max 2009 blog. Friday, 4 December 2009. Now my swordfish model is complete - i can start to apply a texture to my render. I started off by 'Unwrapping' my model using the Unwrap modifier, however due to the shape of this particular animal the fins and tail made the unwrap result very difficult to work with. To work around this the fins and tail were removed and just the fish body was unwrapped. This allowed me to start texturing more easily by doing the fins seperately. 4 December 2009 at 09:29.

3D Modelling and Animation: Final Stamps (With Templates)
http://lukejordan3d.blogspot.com/2009/12/final-stamps-with-templates.html
3D Modelling and Animation. Thursday, 10 December 2009. Final Stamps (With Templates). Here are my final stamps which now have templates included around the outside. I have altered the effects on some of them to fit in with the models I have created. For the rainforest I have chosen a green background, for the space stamp I have chosen a blue background and for the safari effect I have selected a desert background. Posted by Luke Jordan. 3D Modelling and Animation: Biodiversity Stamp 3 - Space Station
http://lukejordan3d.blogspot.com/2009/12/biodiversity-stamp-3-space-station.html
3D Modelling and Animation. Friday, 4 December 2009. Biodiversity Stamp 3 - Space Station. The final part of my third stamp is creating an area for the Biodiversity text to appear on. I came up with the idea of a space station which the text would be easy to sit on. I began by using a cylinder as the base of the model and then applying some planes to the edges. I then made some smaller cylinders as extra graphics and detail to the space station. Posted by Luke Jordan. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

3D Modelling and Animation: Giraffe Texturing
http://lukejordan3d.blogspot.com/2009/12/giraffe-texturing.html
3D Modelling and Animation. Monday, 7 December 2009. Having finished the main model for the giraffe I have now began to texture the body. I used the same method as for the space shuttle and I started putting the pieces together this is how far I have got so far firstly from the first UVW map to where I have got up to. 3D Modelling and Animation: Floor and Background Stamp 2
http://lukejordan3d.blogspot.com/2009/12/floor-and-background-stamp-2.html
3D Modelling and Animation. Monday, 7 December 2009. Floor and Background Stamp 2. Here I have created a rocky background and a background which fits in well with the safari theme and with the stamp design. For the floor I found a rock surface and and applied it to a plane and edited the vertecies so that the plane moved away into the background. I then used the displacement tool to make the surface more bumpy and more realistic. I think this is a good correlation between the two. Posted by Luke Jordan.

3ds Max 2009 blog: September 2009
http://bmarck-3dsmax09.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
3ds Max 2009 blog. Friday, 25 September 2009. Excersie 1 - White House Render. This was the first render i've done in the course so far and im fairly happy with the results! Most of the work was aligning and setting the shape sizes to make sure they were correct in the Perspective view. I have limited knowledge of 3ds Max so i'm really keen to get started! I think the idea of 3D Stamps will be interesting as a first assignment and allow me to build on my design skills for future work.

3ds Max 2009 blog: Eagle texturing
http://bmarck-3dsmax09.blogspot.com/2009/12/eagle-texturing.html
3ds Max 2009 blog. Friday, 11 December 2009. I've finally finished what i've found to be the most time-consuming piece of this module so far! My Eagle render currently has over 4000. Individual feathers so you can imagine how much time this took to create not to mention render by 2800 x 1900! I started off trying to unwrap the different parts of the eagle and texturing that way, however after attempting only the body of the eagle, I found this was not the effect I was hoping for and scrapped this idea:.
