La Jolla Shores - perfect beach for kids! We spent two days in La Jolla, California and made it a point to be at the beach as much as possible. Sunday, October 28, 2012. It snowed last week. A nice, light snowstorm. The boys were thrilled and loved making snowballs and an interesting "snowman." Then a few days later, it REALLY SNOWED. We woke up to a whiteout. It snowed 8 inches overnight. School was cancelled, the sun came out, and the boys did some serious sledding down the mountain next to our house. Carson makes a snowball. Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Life at Grandma's is pretty good. I did have to lay down the rules for my mom, though: No cooking or cleaning up after the kids. Just "Grandma Stuff" - leave all the dirty work to me. Grandma loves a good tea party. She has been known to throw together some Root Beer/Diet Coke mixers. Sunday, July 13. I try so hard to hide it. But its like getting shot and trying to hide the bullet wound,. You can tough out the pain, and you can treat the pain, but eventually, that wound will expose you. You have to get the bullet out. If the wound is left untreated, infection spreads and causes more damage. The longer you wait, the worse it gets. So why hide it? Why draw out the pain and continue to hurt when it could be stopped? Is it your ego? Are you afraid of forcing this hassle onto someone else?

Tuesday, March 19, 2013. 2 down, 10 to go! Update #1: Two treatments have come and gone and I only have ten treatments to go! Aside from a little nausea and queasiness for a few days after each treatment, I generally just feel tired. However, a week after my first treatment I felt like myself again, so we are hoping that trend sticks! I'll take another blood test the day before my next treatment to see how the shots and lower dose of chemo helped increase my white blood cell count. Another two thumbs up!
