Garden of Fuzz: March 2006
http://gardenoffuzz.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 31, 2006. Need I say more? You can guess what that extra ‘F’ stands for. What a week. I finished P’s birthday present, but couldn’t find my camera last night before delivering it. I made him a surprise flying spaghetti monster. And he promises to send me a picture of FSM, which I will happily put up. Many thanks go out to the creator of the pattern, Sherry W. raMEN. For which he was named. But we sing it to him anyway. Posted by Eden at 4:20 PM. Tuesday, March 21, 2006. The knecklace loops ...

Crafty stuff since two thousand five. August 22, 2006. Posted by jessicraft in fitness. As I’ve said previously, I really should have left this more open to being “a beginners blog.” I know what you might be thinking – what is a twenty-something year old girl doing figuring out her interests only now. 8211; and the truth is I had lots of interests but went through a kind of dry-spell in terms of ‘activities’ and am rediscovering things, I suppose. And, hey, interests change. It wasn’t much later th...

A dumping grounds for all things knitting wandering through my lil' mind. Tuesday, February 28, 2006. Check out photos from the Team Canada Knitting Olympics Closing Ceremonies over here. Posted by maggieBB @ 11:14 AM. Monday, February 27, 2006. Okay, so, Team Canada's closing ceremonies in Toronto? I'm a silly enough girl to have felt like I was in a room full of celebreties ;P So many women whose blogs I've read and been inspired by. crazy. And so many awe inspiring finished olympic projects! A dumping grounds for all things knitting wandering through my lil' mind. Sunday, April 09, 2006. School (most noteably, final exams) are sucking my soul away. I'm still knitting lots (need to stay sane! But clearly my ability to blog has been compromised. Had an awesome time this past Friday at the Team Canada. Knit night out, which soothed my soul a bit post-histology-maggie-ass-whooping. Unfortunately, yesterday I came down with a nasty cold :(. Only 2 weeks left! Posted by maggieBB @ 6:53 PM. My pers...

A dumping grounds for all things knitting wandering through my lil' mind. Saturday, August 12, 2006. Something a little different. What seems like a long long time ago, Erin. Was selling off a bunch of stuff, and I was feeling particularly indulgent so I bought a lot of her stuff. Including a Weavette! I've been having a lot of fun with it ever since, and am finally sharing some photographic evidence of this fun :D. Making my first square! Originally uploaded by dottiemaggie. Is it a sweater yet? March 11, 2006. And at only 181% of the time allotted! Here is the finished gansey, in all its glory:. It fits Mark just fine, and I think it looks great. In fact, I’m very happy with how it turned out. I particularly enjoyed not having to sew together a single seam (not one! Not even the shoulders! Not that I can’t do a decent job of seams, but there’s something very satisfying about just knitting and knitting until it’s a sweater. Posted by Aven at 05:29 PM. March 05, 2006. No, I&#...

Crafty stuff since two thousand five. Vancouver 2010 Opening Ceremonies. February 13, 2010. Posted by jessicraft in Admin Messages. The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well. I watched the Olympic flame in my community, met former Olympian Barbara Ann Scott, and partied with a friend of mine, who was one of the torchbearers!

Team Canada - Together We Can Make A Difference!
Visit the Live 8 website at www.live8live.com. Every single day, 30,000 children die, needlessly, of extreme poverty. On July 6th 2005, we finally have the opportunity to stop that shameful statistic. Eight world leaders, gathered in Scotland for the G8 summit, will be presented with a workable plan to double aid, drop the debt and make the trade laws fair. If these eight men agree, then we will become the generation that made poverty history. But they'll only do it if enough people tell them to.

Team Canada in Tokyo
Team Canada in Tokyo. Tuesday, March 20, 2007. Just thought I'd take a quick moment before bed to let everyone know how things are going in Tokyo. Most of the team left on Friday following an inspirational send-off at the airport. It was well attended by both media and Canadian World Team alumni (including Josee Chouinard and Brian Orser). The team also received a great track suit to sport at the championships compliments of BMO. Very nice touch! On to business though. Thursday, March 8, 2007. Hi everyon...
