Thursday, February 23, 2012. We are finally coming up for air here at the Dawson house. The first few months of the year have been chock full of special events and travels and, well, teething.lots of sleepless teething. I'd recommend it to anyone out there looking for a fun, easy party. Next up was my mom's 60th birthday! With the help of my grandparents and my brother and sister-in-law, we hosted a special family party at our house. Sunday, June 10, 2012. First camping trip is a rite of passage in a little boy's life. We set up camp in the backyard this weekend. After some debate, we decided that was the best option since chances were likely that it would be a partial camp out ending sometime around 1 or 2 AM when our little camper started missing his bed. Saturday, January 3, 2015. Friday, January 2, 2015. That's right -1st place in a the 4th/5th grade school spelling be as a 4th grader- about 400 kids in the 2 grades. She battled well and came out on top. We knew early on she was smart- it's her gift. I am glad she was rewarded on that special day. I was one proud mamma this day- and to say my stomach was in knots the last few rounds would be an understatement! She went on the the county bee and made it about half way (competing against 8th graders).
