Writing film with no money and no food. Friday, October 8, 2010. Day 183: “My work here is done”. Six months ago on April the something, I decided to set about Blogging, with the intention of writing a screenplay over six months, using a “writer’s method” as offered by Robert McKee in his book “Story”, inviting anyone who cared to, to come along for the ride with me. The six months are up today and there is no completed screenplay. Until the next time, I am the Hungry Screenwriter, bidding you adieu.

the hungry screenwriter: April 2010

http://thehungryscreenwriter.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

Writing film with no money and no food. Friday, April 30, 2010. The Hungry Screenwriter’s budget leaves little room for the purchasing of monogrammed slippers, footwear I’ve oft coveted when browsing the fine clothing on offer in Fortnum and Mason’s menswear department (surely they must have another name other than “menswear”, it sounds so Are You Being Served. 8220;Clothes maketh the man” is a well-known quip, as is “cleanliness is next to Godliness”. I prefer to find bountifulness in the rich-pickings ...

the hungry screenwriter: Day 180: Chinatown

http://thehungryscreenwriter.blogspot.com/2010/10/day-180-chinatown.html

Writing film with no money and no food. Tuesday, October 5, 2010. Anyone who has followed the blogging of the Hungry Screenwriter, or anyone who knows me for that matter, is more than likely aware that my favourite film is Chinatown. There is a series of slim volumes, published by British Film Institute Publishing, each of which dissects and analyses “classic” and “modern classic” films. I have a copy of the “classic” volume on Chinatown. By Michael Eaton, who at the start offers this:. Or School of Rock.

Writing film with no money and no food. Wednesday, October 6, 2010. Day 181: St.Paul’s Cathedral. Tomorrow, I was meant to be leaving for London, to enjoy a few weeks over there, but circumstances beyond my control prevent that from happening; not to worry, I will try again at Christmas and maybe that is what is meant to be. 8217; Helfgott into the bargain]). The Hungry Scientist | To live, create, and eat…

To live, create, and eat…. June 28, 2015. June 28, 2015. I don’t know if you call a burger ‘recession food.’. It’s comfort food. What you’ll need:. 1 Plain brioche bun(s). There is a fine balance when choosing a brioche bun, too buttery and the whole burger ends up being too rich. A bun too dense destroys everything completely. For a complement brioche bun, refer to my tweaked brioche bun recipe: ( http:/ thehungryscientistblog.org/2015/06/28/oh-the-brioche-bun/. 6 Dried mixed herbs. 8 Salt and pepper.

Summertime, Summer Vibe. It is summer again in Dubai. The next 5 months would be extremely hot and so everyone is planning to escape from Dubai’s blazing weather. I have started planning and preparing for my vacation. I hope my visa application would be approved this week so I would be able to get my flight and hotel booked and confirmed at a cheap rate. While waiting for my grand vacation, let me take you to the right summer vibe because summer means having fun and good time with friends and family.

Here we are, the end of the year. I have to say, 2014 did not turn out the way I had planned it back in December of 2013. I imagined I’d be writing like the wind by now, instead, I spent my year on personal reflection and in therapy. I don’t regret a thing. 1 Spend more time on me – I’m including journaling, art, walking and weight loss, actually getting my hair cut when I need to, not when I can’t stand my hair anymore. These things I neglect when I get in to a self-destructive spi...A book published in...

Frequented by various layabouts and hangers-on (aka poets and writers) including Ernest Hemingway, Ezra Pound, Eugene O'Neill, E. E. Cummings, Dylan Thomas. Next up was the Lamb special with seasonal vegetables ($38). The lamb was so superbly tender that it literally melted on my tongue. The pommes (potato) gratin side was super crunchy in the right places an...This ...
