Home Away From Home: February 2013

http://endrishomehappenings.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

Tuesday, February 12, 2013. I love how God intersects our path with others in the most unusual and unexpected ways! The youth minister at our church met some young people from China that were working in Natchitoches, La. He began bringing them to church and they introduced him to some students working for Burger King in Coushatta. Of course, he invited the ones working in Coushatta to church and they came! It all started the night that we met and Amy told me she was very interested in Christianity! The b...

Wednesday, January 18, 2012. I'm a little late in posting this, but my grandmother turned 89 years old the day after Christmas. You wouldn't know that she is 89 by looking at my grandmother or checking her calendar. She looks young and stays busy! Three of her four children, two out of ten grandchildren, and 4 out of 8 great-grandchildren were in attendance at her party! Monday, January 9, 2012. Cheering for the Saints. This has been a huge sports weekend in Louisiana! Thursday, January 5, 2012. Love the...

Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Good Ole Fairview Water. On Sunday, January 29th, we celebrated the ordinance of baptism at Fairview Baptist Church. This was a special day for our family because Levi was publicly saying that he is following Christ through the symbol of baptism. He woke up that morning nervous, but excited! He wasn't sure if he could touch in the baptistry or how long his dad would hold him under! I am so thankful for God's salvation in my own life and the life of my entire family! On her ac...

Home Away From Home: Softball

http://endrishomehappenings.blogspot.com/2012/06/softball.html

Wednesday, June 6, 2012. Softball season is here again! Claire and Levi are both much improved from last year. Their daddy has been keeping up with their stats on Facebook. In hopes that they will be drafted to the major leagues one day! We will just have to wait and see! In the meantime, we will continue to enjoy our Dusty Cut league. Levi is the 10th batter. That means he is the clean up guy and he has hit a grand slam on more than one occasion! Daddy has been helping coach first or third base.

Thoughts from the paddock. Saturday, May 23, 2009. The School and Paddy's Disapperance. What's the point of that? I've seen Paddy being sat on in here and I'm hoping Mum isn't thinking of doing that to me, she looks a bit heavy! Despite there being no grass in there I did find chewing the rubber quite fun but I can't say it tasted too good! Later in the summer Mum took Paddy from the field and he didn't come back! Pinkie is o.k. but he gets really crabby at times and without Paddy I'm a bit bored...Even ...

I do my best thinking while driving. I drive a Fiat Panda. I grieve – one year on. I have been out of sorts all day today, and in fact all week. I’ve been anticipating the first anniversary of my beloved father’s death. My dad died on 28 October 2015. It was a Wednesday. It was probably the most dreadful Wednesday of my life. I will never forget the call when I was still at work one year ago saying, “Come. Now.”. So here, on the day-of-the-week anniversary, is a song of grief. But I know that you are fly...

Thoughts from the Pasture. Wednesday, December 8, 2010. The Danger of Having Been Touched By Jesus. Now a great many of the Jews knew that He was there; and they came, not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might also see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead. But the chief priests plotted to put Lazarus to death also, because on account of him many of the Jews went away and believed in Jesus. Does my life bring validity to who Jesus is? Did He in fact come into my life? Friday, July 23, 2010. In th...
