Sunday, August 28, 2011. Race Report: Toronto Women's Run 5k. This weekend we drove five hours so I could run 5k with some dear friends from university at the Toronto Women's Run. I am very happy to say that my time - 34:29 chip time. Was a personal record, beating my time from my only other 5k. By almost 2.5 minutes! Here are my splits according to my Garmin (which is a little off my chip time):. To end (0.07) - 0:21. Not bad, if I do say so myself! And a couple where we looked like serious runners:.

My BRCA Journey and Results. By the time I started running I already knew how to suffer" - Scott Jurek. So I don't know if you have noticed, but I sort of picked a strange time in my life to take up long distance running. Or not so strange, if come from the Scott Jurek. School of thought. The past 2 years have been hard, tumultuous, and heart-breaking in ways that I never expected, but through it all I ran. I ran my very first half marathon. The day before my double mastectomy. Race Recap: Chilly Half.

LOL😀 Just a quick one today to share some tunes. My Eurotrip recap will probably take me a while. The other day I was talking to a friend about how certain songs can bring back vivid memories, transporting you back to that moment when the song made an impact on you. The song is Starry Eyed by Ellie Goulding. Comments : Leave a Comment.

A 20-something's take on balancing school and a social life while striving for a healthy lifestyle. Back to blogging…? Well, I did it. I survived the crazy, intense year at teacher’s college and now I’m finally done! In 3 weeks I’ll be a bachelor of education graduate and a fully certified teacher! I can’t believe how quickly this year has gone by. As soon as I got used to the new hours, workload, people, it was over. But it was great! I finally tried hot yoga. Last year and fell in love with Moksha Yoga.

Finally, after a looong looong time of wanting to, I actually ran my first official 5k race! Finisher's medal - sa-weet! I decided to sign up for the Toronto Women’s Run. On a whim a month before the race date and was lucky to nab one of the few remaining spots. My friend tried to sign up a few days later to join me, but the race was completely sold out! I woke up on race day...

Monday, November 17, 2014. Art, film, music and girl power! A curation of things I'm loving today. I swear, this song by First Aid Kit (below) is my anthem. LOVE IT! Takes place in Portland, Oregon but there is also a Girls Rock Camp in Toronto. Who provide a safe space for girls aged 8-16 to learn instruments, write songs and rock out on stage. How insanely rad is that? I found this a couple years ago and rediscovered it recently. Thrush Holmes. Girls Rock Camp Toronto. Thursday, November 6, 2014. Since...

These are my adventures as a runner, triathlete and limit pusher. Wednesday, May 27, 2015. The Week That Wasn't. If life keeps going at the pace it's going, my weekly updates are going to start happening mid-week instead of Mondays, ha. I can't seem to carve out any decent chunk of time to do anything these days. The highlight of my entire week.heck probably of my entire year so far was on Sunday. I spent Sunday morning working as a Mizuno Run Bird at the Toronto Women's Half. This is how my week unfolded.
