I ran my first half marathon on Saturday. It was HARD, and not that much fun.But could be convinced to do it again. Monday-Swim alternate laps with sprints in the shallow end. 45 min. Tuesday-Spinning class or high intensity ride 60 min. Wednesday-Running class or own course for 60 min. alternate sprints with hills./ 30 min speed swim. Thursday-same as Tuesday spinnng or intense ride. Friday-Running class or own course same as Wednesday.

The mom guilt of wishing they were home playing instead of getting hauled around cause of our busy schedule. I was having that "what am I doing? Feeling. Like running in circles. I mean its not the hardest thing ever but I had no idea it was so involved. Sam is studying pre-med and I have most of the same stuff he has. I really didn't know I was going to have to work so hard. She really is a good kid and has been an easy kid for us. She is a funny kid as well. All she wanted for her birthday was new bedding and a barbie razor scooter. Sam picked up tons of shifts at the MTC and I still had school everyday but Christmas day. So it was crazy but great. I made Christmas Eve dinner for the first time and have to say it was dang good. Sunday, February 13, 2011. On January 30th, i completed my first marathon. it really was a lot of fun for the majority of the race. i think i had the benefit of longer races under my belt. since the half ironmans take closer to 6 hours, 4 hours seemed short even though it was all running! I know, it is crazy that i even say that! I started out too quickly with 8 minute miles for the first 3 miles or so. that is a reasonable pace for a 10K or something.but not 26.2 miles! Just across the finish line!
